Sea and Floating

Today was a rocking day, after finishing economics paper, finally I managed to visit majorda beach, near by colva beach. I was waiting for the opportunity to visit a beach from long time, as I was busy with many of my college activities....

Actually after exam many people from my class were ready to come to beach but none of them turned up [:)]... finally Eshans and me decided to go to majorda beach with towel and costumes to jump in infinite sea and the cool blue water was very tempting for both of us; after a walk of kilometer or two on sea shore we started with preparation to go in sea (I mean started removing our cloths on beach)... as soon as we started with it one watchman came to us and said, don't go in sea; their guests ('Foreigners') have problem with this... hehe... it make me laugh at that watchman's face, couldn't control... He conveyed us to go the next place, so we did. This time as soon as we jumped into sea life guard started staring at us...??? We were enjoying sea in a danger zone;(actually it was not danger later on that life guard only asked to swim there...)

Ya, so once we started swimming in that zone, life guard and that watchman of some sea resort had fight... Life guard were saying to him, "Your resort doesn't own sea, its for all and these boys seems to be good boys...!!!", on top of this, suddenly from no where 20-25 people like us came into the same side of beach and did exactly same thing, as we did... huh... that watchman was on the top of anger and life guard was telling us to enjoy in sea.... so over all it was a fun..... to visit such beach in such circumstances...

Eshans was carrying one small cricket ball and we were playing it in a sea, looking at that watchman and life guard and craking cranky jokes... till this time there were more than 15 people in the sea with us...

Okay apart from this I was lying on water on my back, I was floating in sea with eyes closed and facing sky, it was so lovely, waves were coming and going and I was floating up and down on waves... It's like a meditation, floating on sea on your back and looking at sea, keeping your body lose in water, this is the time when you can hear your breathing... Smile and close your eyes..."My party begins, the moment I close my eyes..." this time it was in sea...
Eshans was inspired by my such floating action and he was trying hard to float like me on sea, he was really pushing hard to do so, and I was telling him, take it easy and keep it simple then only he can float...and etc. Comedy part of this is whenever he manage to float wave use to come and water use to go in all possible holes of his face... After trying hard he gave and said he will do it next time... Till this time water was already inside his ears and head...

End of the day we decided to go out of sea and the same life guard was waiting for us and said hi and smiled at us... as if he was asking, "So you people enjoyed?", I said yes using my head and hand... he smiled and left. But that watchman was still staring at some people who were playing with sea sand and throwing it to each other...

Tempted with the concept of beach, a blue and clean sea shores with beautiful nature is calling me again and again, now once again back to the square one, "Waiting for next opportunity to go to some other beach.."

Then we had Dosa and Special tea at Krishna's near my college it's our normal hangout place for Tea (I like that tea..)

Again came back to college library and searching for information to present in my next presentation (Next time I will upload photos as well..)

Mission Green Earth

Why should each one of us plant trees........

it just takes 16 trees to actually give the total amount of oxygen that you use it in your life time.

A single tree will absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.

Shade provided by trees can also reduce your air conditioning bill by 10 to 15%.

some of us are really working for this cause?.

your small help would mean a great contribution to something REALLY BIG...

From Bawa's Blog

Just gone through the most awaiting latest post by Bawa...
As I keep on waiting for his new post and as my longing for new post start increasing, bawa post some of the really nice articles....
His experience about A Broken Pipe is the best one to read... And especially what guruji said to bawa "Enlightenment is not simply knowing everything… Enlightenment is knowing everything and then forgetting it!"

And the way he has explained his guru experience is amazing to read....

Back from Navratri

Experience matters! Navratri in ashram is THE thing every one of us should experience.
This times navratri was having special effects on my mind with Guruji's talk, Devi bhagwat and Extra ordinary presence of one of my very close friend.

Navratri was rocking all the way in full mood. This time some things which guruji said were stricken directly to me, and then after talking he gave an angelic smile.

Some points which I remeber.

1. As you know that, whatever you are asking is getting real, then ask for something good. Ask for something which has real value. Don't ask for craps.
2. All situations are right, if you are able to find fault in situation, then there is something wrong in you not in a situation.
3. Everything happeing around is right.

I will add some more points if I remeber any....

Every time when I am suppose to leave ashram there is a pinch in side, this time I am still feeling that pinch...

Lots of fun I had in the head quarter of Art of living... If time permits will add more....

Reason And Faith

Reason is reeling in the known. Faith is moving in the unknown.
Reason is repetition. Faith is exploration.
Reason is routine. Faith is adventure.

I liked this though so much...

Rudra Pooja in college

Yesterday our College was blessed by rudra pooja. Rushi vidyadharji were in SSIMS for Rudra pooja.
He explained us what rudra pooja is is all about. I knew that Pooja Means Purna Jagriti (All in Sanskrit) but yesterday I came to know great meaning of rudra pooja.
Universe is made up of 5 elements and so that our body is. And among 5 of these four elements have opposite.
1.Air can be used to breath, but air can be responsible for Hurricanes as well. So air has opposite of giving life and taking life and destroys.
2.Water element also has opposite, can give life and can take life.
3.Fire can be used to get heat and light. Fire can be destroying everything.
4.Earth is stable but earth quake can destroy everything.
But Ether element, space element, Shiva Tatwa doesn’t have any opposite…
And rudra pooja is surrendering to Shiva tatwa. Space element occupies more than 99% of the universe.
Our body is also made of 5 elements and among them four elements can have opposite effects. Chanting of Sanskrit mantras in rudra pooja stabilizes these four elements and has special effect on Space element.
Just being present during rudra pooja can align all elements of body.
Rudra Pooja is a very special ancient vedic practice.
Rishiji also talked about surrender.
My question : Rushiji how spirituality and management are related?
Rushiji : (Smiled) There is no term need of management, we just need to manage our mind and he went on explaining what is mind management. He said “ Look at guruji he has not done any mangment course, but managing so many minds, he has not even done Basic course….”

This is a new day with new experience

3rd Aug 2008

This is a new day with new experience. Yesterday was full of bliss, but after returning to home in late hours, there were something for me to bother about, I had some calls and then no sleep till 2 am. And today I had to be on time for Long kriya; as one of my best friends was suppose to take the kriya and I didn’t wanted to miss it at any cost. This was her 1st long kriya after she became teacher.

I was fully into the utter process of thinking when I reached for kriya. I took time to settle there. Yoga was going on so I had some time to sit and relax. It’s was a real bliss when 1st of her sound hit my ears, Time stood still and I was experiencing some expansion inside. It’s like some essence of gurutatva was dissolving in my mind. Such thing happened first time. I was only able to hear her voice and nothing else. After few moments I did not even understand the words but some vibrations were penetrating in mind and I was relaxing more and more.

That voice had too much depth in talking and I was able to connect immediately. My ego, self and whatever, were simply dissolving in the nature. I remember some rounds of Pranayama and bhastrika. After that some rounds of natural rhythm with guruji’s voice, and done.

Actually my back and legs were paining; I remembered dinesh bhaiya’s voice “Accept it”; I did and pain simply disappeared.

All stress started vanishing and I was coming back in my natural mood. Wow one moment and two voices, yes one more thing to add, in between I forgot to breath, and someone again reminded me to breathe, and I started again.

This is all about the teacher being a friend or friend being a teacher. All things can’t be put into words; some of them need to be experienced.

After kriya I wanted to be in silence so I avoided to talk much, now as well I want to be in silence, but there is a fresher’s party, my seniors have organized it for us. Let’s see how I keep it up.

My party begins the moment I close my eyes.

My party begins the moment I close my eyes.
Huh finally got time to type something after a long time. All set to Goa other than studies, planning to start with it soon; actually I don’t have any choice either so I have to start studies. But just thought to put some thoughts about the Headline of this article.
“My party begins the moment I close my Eyes”, this line was just scratching my head from last 2-3 months. It was actually a common thought of mine and one of my friends from AOL. Many times I have decided to write about this wonderful thing I am experiencing in my Experiences; but I was able to find some and the other reason for not to write… or rather type it.
The word PARTY…

What it means was my question; whenever I was thinking about it. Well well well, and I concluded that, it is something people do to either come out of their tensions or to do something before tension starts… Bit confusing haan….

Like some people do party after they have achieved something, like most of the people or corporate, some people do it before they start something new. I don’t believe in such things. Uff what I am typing… Here I am supposed to type about the Party which begins when I close my eyes. But I think the word Party is not suitable for such thing which is very great to experience in life.

So I thought about it. And I got it; well I will change my Lines at the end of this article. I think, people think of or do the party because there is a need for expansion. Mind is forced to do same kind of work for a week or two, and then finally there is some need to get relaxed, give some time to the mind, to expand. Amazing naa… But does it all about..?... I do the same process daily or at least once in 24 hours. And tension doesn’t accumulate at the border of my mind.

That doesn’t mean I don’t get tense but I know how to get rid of it.
At times I really don’t understand why people always keep sad faces or some unnatural facial expressions. Yes it’s very funny to observe people, especially in Local trains or in the Local Buses. Wow I remember my 11th and 12th Use to go to college in Local buses and making fun of such sad faces. If anyone gets time please do it, observe people and their expressions, a very good time pass….

Ok Jokes apart. I think we try to find happiness (happiness only what else…) outside and simply forgets our selves. I do spend some time with me, I love to do that. Finally I too want to expand. And my way is different. Why to follow other’s way when I have the Best one?

Time to change my Lines, “My Celebration begins the Moment I close my Eyes…” Yes it is actually the celebration; I have understood difference between the Party and CELEBRATION. Celebration is the right word. Yes I do celebrate daily, just need to close my eyes and breath and definition of world starts expanding moment by moment. Few minutes of CELEBRATION and infinite moments of Expansion. This is how I celebrate… Just need a moment to close my eyes, and I love it… find some time to do that…. “Some

Moments of celebration and Ages of Bliss”… see I got one more punch line for one more article. This time I think I will try to make it sooner. This can be the Punch line for my T-Shirt as well, hmm so now I will design one T-shirt for me, and will use this Punch line… Some dumb people may not understand but that is what I want… Not everyone should understand it either.

It’s Time to sleep. I always do such typing work whenever I am in half sleep. It’s the time when I just allow my hands to type and ask my mind not to interfere. And some words come together to make sentences and then paragraphs. I am liking this also, but have to study ACCOUNTs as well, from last two weeks I am telling myself to start with this subject, but frankly speaking yet to start with it.

NUMBER 108

Number 108….

108 is THE Sacred within Hinduism, Buddhism and yoga and dharma based practices.

Many times it’s very common to see Jap Mala with 108 beads.

108 Surya namaskara and 108 names of the deities.

Also in Bhagavat gita it’s said that Krishna dances with 108 Gopis (cow herd girls). Hare Krishna devotees thus hold 108 as a number of great significance.

Siva Natraja Dances in 108 Poses.

Thus if we have observed number 108 hold a very great significance

Also in Budhinism many Buddhist temples have 108 steps

There are 108 holy temples of Vishnu.

Means 108 number keep recurring many times in many Dharmas and Mythologies.

The question arises is why only number 108 keep on recurring and what is the significance of this number.

Here I am just putting my efforts to understand why this is in such away.

Pranayama: If one is able to be so calm in meditation as to have only 108 breaths in a day, enlightenment will come.

River Ganga: The sacred River Ganga spans a longitude of 12 degrees (79 to 91), and a latitude of 9 degrees (22 to 31). 12 times 9 equals 108.

Silver and the moon: In astrology, the metal silver is said to represent the moon. The atomic weight of silver is 108.

Breath: Tantra estimates the average number of breaths per day at 21,600, of which 10,800 are solar energy, and 10,800 are lunar energy. Multiplying 108 by 100 is 10,800. Multiplying 2 x 10,800 equals 21,600.

Islam: The number 108 is used in Islam to refer to God.

Jain: In the Jain religion, 108 are the combined virtues of five categories of holy ones, including 12, 8, 36, 25, and 27 virtues respectively.

Sikh: The Sikh tradition has a mala of 108 knots tied in a string of wool, rather than beads

Stages of the soul: Said that Atman, the human soul or center goes through 108 stages on the journey.

There are 54 letters in Sanskrit alphabets and Each has masculine and feminine, i.e. shiva and shakti 54 * 2 = 108

Time: Some say there are 108 feelings, with 36 related to the past, 36 related to the present, and 36 related to the future.

Astrology: There are 12 constellations, and 9 arc segments called namshas or chandrakalas. 9 times 12 equals 108. Chandra is moon, and kalas are the divisions within a whole

The diameter of the sun is 108 times the diameter of the Earth.

108 represents (1+0+8) = 9, where 9 represents 9 tattvas

Nine Tattvas (Principles):

--------------------------

1. Jiva - soul or living being (Consciousness)

2. Ajiva - non-living substances

3. Asrava - cause of the influx of karma

4. Bandh - bondage of karma

5. Punya - virtue

6. Paap - sin

7. Samvara - arrest of the influx of karma

8. Nirjara - exhaustion of the accumulated karma

9. Moksha - total liberation from karma

Again 9 tattvas and 12 months ,multiplication leads to (12 * 9 ) = 108.

Followers use 108 beads in their malas. They implement the following formula:
6 x 3 x 2 x3 = 108
6 senses [sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, thought]
3 aspects of time [past, present, future]
2 condition of heart [pure or impure]
3 possibilties of sentiment [like, dislike, indifference]

Mathematically speaking number 9 stands between 0-8 (i.e. 0 to 8 , total numbers are 9).

Eight represents completeness or totality because it includes the 4 cardinal directions and the 4 ordinal directions

Zero, by contrast, represents nothingness or emptiness. It is geometrically represented by a plain sheet with no marks on it. Thus 8 is everything and 0 is nothing. 9 is the threshold number between 8 and 0. The number 1 which follows 0 represents the beginning , the root of all geometrical patterns, while 8 is the number represents fulfillment or end.

So number 108 represents beginning- nothingness- fulfillment. i.e. nothingness between the beginning and the end. Or we can say 1 stands for beginning and 8 stands for infinity and eternity.

108 Upanishads

Rigveda(10): Aitareya , Atmabodha, Kaushitaki, Mudgala, Nirvana, Nadabindu, Akshamaya, Tripura, Bahvruka, Saubhagyalakshmi.

Yajurveda(50): Katha, Taittiriya , Isavasya , Brihadaranyaka, Akshi, Ekakshara, Garbha, Prnagnihotra, Svetasvatara, Sariraka, Sukarahasya, Skanda, Sarvasara, Adhyatma, Niralamba, Paingala, Mantrika, Muktika, Subala, Avadhuta, Katharudra, Brahma, Jabala, Turiyatita, Paramahamsa, Bhikshuka, Yajnavalkya, Satyayani, Amrtanada, Amrtabindu, Kshurika, Tejobindu, Dhyanabindu, Brahmavidya, YogakundalinI, Yogatattva, Yogasikha, Varaha, Advayataraka, Trisikhibrahmana, mandalabrahmana, Hamsa, Kalisantaraaa, Narayana, Tarasara, Kalagnirudra, Dakshinamurti, Pancabrahma, Rudrahrdaya, SarasvatIrahasya.

SamaVeda(16): Kena, Chandogya, Mahat, Maitrayani, Vajrasuci, Savitri, Aruneya, Kundika, Maitreyi, Samnyasa, Jabaladarsana, Yogacudaman, Avyakta, Vasudevai, Jabali, Rudrakshajabala.

Atharvaveda(32): Prasna , Mandukya, Mundaka, Atma, Surya, Narada-Parivrajakas, Parabrahma, Paramahamsa-Parivrajakas, Pasupatha-Brahma, Mahavakya, Sandilya, Krishna, Garuda, Gopalatapani, Tripadavibhuti-mahnarayana, Dattatreya, Kaivalya, NrsimhatapanI, Ramatapani, Ramarahasya, HayagrIva, Atharvasikha, Atharvasira, Ganapati, Brhajjabala, Bhasmajabala, Sarabha, Annapurna, TripuratapanI, Devi, Bhavana, SIta.

If we go deep in any shastra, ideally each of the shastra some where leads to the number 108.

AS I WILL GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE NUMBER 108 I WILL KEEP ON UPDATING THIS ARTICLE.

Sudarshan Kriya

Sudarshan Kriya

The masterpiece of the "The Art Of Living" Course is a powerful
breathing-based technique called Sudarshan Kriya, or the healing breath.
(The practice goes by this Sanskrit name in whatever language the program is
taught throughout the world.) One of the breath's great secrets is that for
every feeling or emotion there is a corresponding rhythm in the breath.
Sudarshan Kriya incorporates specific natural rhythms of breath to release
stress and bring the mind to the present moment.

The practice is instrumental in creating a sense of harmony in the body,
mind and spirit. After the practice, participants commonly report feeling
calm and centered, with a clearer vision of the world and themselves.

Several independent studies on the numerous mental and physical health
benefits of Sudarshan Kriya have been published in international
peer-reviewed journals and confirm what participants commonly report.

As the cells of organs such as the heart, lungs, brain, blood, muscles and
bowel get deprived of oxygen, they start degenerating & disease slowly
starts developing.

Therefore, it is important to learn correct breathing,

Benefits Of Sudarshana Kriya:

1 Greater creativity and clarity of mind
2 Reduced stress and tension
3 More ease and joy in personal relationships
4. Increase in Lung capacity utilization up to 95%.
5. Increase in the life span.
6. Improved mind and body coordination.
7. Increase in energy for day to day activities.
8. Mental peace and emotional balance.
9. Lowering blood pressure, managing respiratory, digestive etc. disorfers
with regular practice.
10. Complete rejuvenation of body and mind.

*Return To Joy*

Our mind tends to vacillate between the past and the future. We are either
regretting the past or anxious about the future. However as we all know
living in the present moment is the route to joy. Our mind is such that we
cannot control it in a direct manner. We cannot force it to be in the
present moment. But we can influence our mind through the breath. "Take a
deep breath" is an age-old recommendation for relaxation.

The Art of Living course takes this effect of breath on our minds and
applies it in a very precise and powerful manner through the Sudarshan Kriya
technique. Practice of this technique can bring our mind effortlessly into
the present moment. As this happens, we learn the ability to reduce the
effects of negative emotions and return to our natural state of joy.

* More enthusiasm and dynamism in activities
* Increased harmony in relationships at home and at work
* Increased resilience to withstand stressful situations
* A smile born from inner stability
* Experience of a new depth in life and spirituality

Music is the silence between two notes.

"Music is the Silence between two notes" - Because of silence music becomes more appreciable, more attractive.
While listening to music, the silent place between two notes becomes more and more important.
What is the Breadth, depth and dimension of the music that matters a lot, if any one of it is a bit less or bit more, effect of music simply goes away.

Music is the two way communication between Performer and listener. Music is so natural that, when there is a silence between two notes, it is also known to the other, listener's mind. And that is the reason when the pause is less or more, music looses it's effect.

Each performance is always different than the previous performance.
If we play some raga say "Bhoop" in 100 concerts or "Mehfil"; then it is most likely that, we play 100 different variations of bhoop ragas.
Music is never same, it always adds its special effects. [I think this might be the reason, that each time when some famous singer or classical music players, play in the concerts though the same raga, people use to have recordings of all such concerts].... Music is always independent of anything, when it is pure, it is always different, and there can't be any comparison.

In Classical music, music is represented as a thought, the inner most true part of the self. Always try to put our thoughts in the music. And as each person is different, each thought is different, music is always different. If we have same guru for music, then also style of each Student (Shishya), for playing music is different, there can't be even comparison between students of the same guru. This is the uniqueness of music. Each one of us has to take efforts to put our thoughts in our playing, we can't be like each other and neither we can be like our guru. Don't copy the style of music, learn the music.
Music should reflect our uniqueness of thoughts.

Music- The Rhythm is always connected to the nature to our breath. Music is very well connected to our breath, where to stop, where not to stop, when to breath and when to take a pause. Each and everything matters in the music. Rhythm is natural phenomenon, we can say Music is universal and Rhythm is also universal, each and everything has some rhythm, some cycle, music should be in the same way. In Sanskrit Rhythm is called as "Lay", and opposite of Laya is Pralaya, when the rhythm is not present Pralaya happens (Pralaya means destruction of everything). If heart looses its natural rhythm, heart attack happens. Same as music, if Lay is not correct, music doesn't touches your own heart, forget about rest of the world.

Many times it happens that, there are many people who play music, but only few people make the difference, why so?
Music which lies above 100% always touches the heart of universe, music is something which is more than perfection. Music needs involvement. One should always go beyond the time, space and breadth of the music to get the real essence of the Music. Music is with us, within us, its not something which we never knew. We all are very connected to music, because it in us.Music is our nature.

There is a rhythm in the child's voice, we can observe it, when a baby cries, it goes through all swaras up and down, that also depending on the situation. If mother is not near by the baby cries in Upper Octave of the Swara Mandal, when mother is near by voice or swara reduces. Just Observe it.

Our all classical Ragas are so well connected to the nature. So all ragas represent some special time, some special season (ritu) and it's special effect at that time. If the music is so connected to the nature then Playing Malhar raaga and asking nature to Start rain is not a big thing. Only we should be able to connect us with the nature.

My teacher always says that to learn music we need two births, and that is the case, even if method is right, but person is wrong , how much hard he/she can try nothing is gonna happen, but if Person is right then even wrong methods will also make him/her to find the right track.

Thinking should be lateral and effect should be optimized

Time.... somthing never thought about....

Time... It is the time which actually kills me, one moment at a time...Time , I remember some old stories, listen some where sometime back, in the history of my life. Some faces seen but unseen... some unsaid words and some never expressed emotions.
Some stories are really realistic, some of them still have impact on my mind, some stories just lived and left silently, without telling to anyone, like the secret, which has made only for me. Said-unsaid secret. Lived-un lived moments. Some thoughts, came and went away. some are still with me.
Thoughts-"the process" still in the process of getting understood by me. Long long time back, don't know from when, for what and how things started falling in terms of thoughts for me. I remember the saying, everything is Cyclic.. I do realized this???...Don't know... or really don't want to know...At some point, I found it as a truth; yes cycle is every where...In science I have learnt it, about the atoms and molecule, and same concept goes to the universe. If the rules are same for the tiniest thing in the universe to the universe it self, then what exactly the rule is? Whether you mind it or don't mind it, rule is to revolve, or is to rotate???
I really fascinate about the things which are here from long long time, or from infinite time... in some book of physics I have read definition of time, "Time is a Universal variable changing at the same rate in all parts of universe..", Do I think it is correct!. Or time is a relative term, uuhhh.. isn't it interesting,confusing...?
Is there anything for which Time doesn't matter, something which doesn't follow the rules or concepts of time? So many such questions, so many such things...
Some times I feel that "Mind Matters", rules of time are not understood by my mind, non-materialistic thing, without any physical existence, beyond words and beyond imagination.. have I ever observed, my body get tired but mind, continuously working in some and the other way..Rather something which is continuously working all the time for nothing, for something.. like time, whether I want it or not, it will keep going and going...Does there something which is controlling me , my emotions, my existence or the happenings in my life. How many years back I can go into History and how many minds I can relate with each other, how many generations are passed away and how many will still in line, an Endless process? Come on if there is a start then there should be an end, very simple thing... Yes, I am searching for the Start, Science says that man is evolved from monkeys, amazing thing to know, but is there possibility that, human is evolved from the each type of animal, our earth till have? very vauge and irrelevant question, but if this is not the case then why each human is not same, as every one is the modest form of monkey. Why do some of us have animal tendencies and facial expressions sometimes, similar to animals, other than monkey? Why my thinking is different than the other one, or why it matches with some people and not with all others.
Some thing clicks to me, something not. I am still figuring out difference between eternity and infinity, alpha and gamma, Journey and Traveling. Should I doubt about the experience or about the Existence.....

This is 2am of 6th March 2008, I don't know what I am typing on and on, some word and some sentences, with out even thinking, what to type, does it make any sense or not, just using my keyboard with to press keys... I think I have to sleep for sometime, after spending such a long day out side, waiting for one more day, it will start soon in some time, Long long time and long long day, time is falling short for nothing, too many things to do, too many questions to ask, too many words to say and too many things to happen, still searching for something... Something which is with me forever, but still unknown to it, still... Like still water, no wave on it no vibration and no variation in the molecules, but too much calm, too much silent and too much attractive....
